EBLIP Toolkit launched

We are pleased to advise the EBLIP Toolkit has finally been launched (albeit in "beta" version with a few more "under development" and "draft" qualifiers than we had hoped!). However, it is a great start as an initial attempt to bring together tools and support for practitioners wanting to engage in evidence-based library and information practice. Editing and further development will continue over the coming weeks.

The toolkit includes support for each stage of the evidence based practice process including definitions, checklists, reading lists and links to sources of evidence. Libraries Using Evidence would particularly like to thank the EBLIP leaders who have agreed to contribute podcasts introducing sections of the toolkit - Andrew Booth, Anne Brice, Denise Koufogiannakis and Pam Ryan are the first who have done so.

Contributions of any type (podcasts, links, resources, suggestions) are welcome from everyone - just let us know :-)

EBLIP Toolkit Development Project

The project team met formally for the first time today to draft a project plan.

A study question was formulated: "What resources/tools should be included in an EBLIP toolkit at Libraries Using Evidence – eblip.net.au to ensure it is a resource that library practitioners across the world will find useful to support application of EBLIP? How can Library 2.0 techniques further enhance the toolkit’s usefulness?".
Findings will be implemented progressively through development of an EBLIP toolkit (coming very soon to http://toolkit.eblip.net.au), with a view to launching the "completed" toolkit in October 2006.
The project team is committed to using this project as an opportunity to explore, and implement where possible, Library 2.0 technologies.

Libraries Using Evidence Advisory Group established

The Libraries Using Evidence Advisory Group has been established to guide development of "Libraries Using Evidence - eblip.net.au", to ensure the site remains current and relevant, and act as a steering committee for "Libraries Using Evidence - eblip.net.au" related projects. The group welcomes any feedback, comments or suggestions via Suzanne Lewis (Convenor) or Lisa Cotter (Projects Manager).
